We are running for the Sparta Board of Education this November because we trust in the power of public education as an accessible right for all students.

Our team believes that financial accountability and proper budget oversight will open up more resources for our district. We also believe Sparta's teachers, librarians, counselors, school nurses, administrative staff, custodians, and all other staff members deserve to be supported in their professional roles.

We will each bring unique strengths, educational backgrounds, and areas of expertise to the table, making our slate the right choice this November.

"What Do You Mean By Stop Raising Taxes?"

"Stop Raising Taxes" is a commitment to not waste taxpayers' money and to approve fiscally conservative budgets. In recent years, the Sparta Board has consistently under-budgeted and overspent in certain areas.

Defying state standards can jeopardize district funding and the Board should do everything it can to avoid costly lawsuits. While taxes may rise to account for inflation and standard wage increases, our slate is committed to financial responsibility, protecting our district funding, and not raising taxes beyond the 2% levy cap without constituent consent.

This year's Board of Education, which includes last year's Stop Raising Taxes elected candidates, managed to keep Sparta's tax rate increase within the state allotted levy cap amount of 2%.

There was an increase of 5.8% in the prior year's budget!

If we defy state standards and lose focus on what matters, we can lose our NJ state aid.

Sparta taxpayers will foot the bill.

We will not be distracted by issues that put our district, and our district's excellence, at risk.

We will make sure your tax dollars are kept in the classroom!
